Li Lujia happened to have just turned 18. In order for her to do well in college, she must firstly find a quiet place to study. She plans to become independent as soon as possible, not wanting to be a burden to her grandmother, whom had found her and taken care of her ever since she was 7. She decided to save up for an apartment, in which her grandmother had fussed over after she found out.
On precisely March 4th, 7:08 PM, Lujia was going back to her apartment from the coffee shop and decided to make a left turn, a different turn from the one she usually makes to go home. Out of the corner of her eye, she sees a oddly fashioned bookstore, which attracted her attention. She approached the bookstore and opened the door. A book caught her eye, a book that would completely flip her life upside down.
